Visit Sandford Aimee and Greg 2025

The October visit for the Southern Food Garden Group was an inspiring reminder of how much can be achieved in a short time when two experienced gardeners put their hearts and minds (and backs!) to it.  Aimee and Greg moved to their Sandford property a little over two years ago and have transformed it into a beautiful and productive garden that, as one visitor said, "has everything!"

Visit Otago Bay Laura and Frank 2022

Visit Otago Bay Laura and Frank 2022

We visited Laura and Frank in 2018, a couple of years after they bought their property. It was high time for a re-visit and on a Sunday morning, with rain threatening, a happy group of gardeners gathered in Otago Bay for an enjoyable morning.

A lot of Laura and Frank's plans for a productive garden have come to pass, some are still a work in progress and some have been abandoned.

In My Garden - Max - January 2022

Ten photos in my garden in the middle of summer should be easy peasy, but summer 2021 - 2022 has been one plagued by too much rain and too little sun, so I won't be showing you ten success stories.

Here are my ten photos:

This month we are joining Erika for a tour of her garden in Howrah. She has lots of things growing and flowering, so there is plenty to see and talk about.

In My Garden - Denby - August 2020

In My Garden - Denby - August 2020

Denby's garden in Lindisfarne experiences very heavy frosts and we’ve certainly had some this year!

Despite this, Denby has a lot of food growing in her garden at the moment, and much more to come. Winter is also the time for big decisions, changing beds, building new ones and so on. Join Denby on a walk through her August garden.

In My Garden - Lian July 2020

In My Garden - Lian July 2020

Winter has arrived in Tasmania, with regular snow on the mountain, cold nights and crisp sunny days.
In Lian's garden in Lauderdale there is still plenty to eat and enjoy, and of course there is always the planning ahead for the warmer seasons to come. Join Lian for a walk in her winter garden.

In My Garden - Melissa

Come for a wander in Melissa's new garden. She certainly has done a lot of work in only one year!
