On Sunday 18 August we visited Ilse and Tom's garden near Snug
On the day it was raining at 8am and it looked as if it would rain all day. However, by the time our visit to Ilse and Tom's garden started the rain had eased and by 11am the sun began to shine.
Ilse and Tom's property is located near the township of Snug on a North-facing slope in the middle of the bush.

Since buying the property almost 2 years ago they have established two wild-life-proof vegie areas with 10 long raised beds, a hothouse and a large orchard. Some of us visited them in January 2012 and they have done so much work since then.

well ; the lime and lemon will move out soon |
It was great to see Ilse and Tom's enthusiasm, the progress they have made since moving to the property and to learn from their experience. Thank you very much for showing it all and your hospitality.
The knowledge and experience of those who came was also of great value.
Thanks everyone who brought surplus plants, seeds and produce and we will enjoy it all again next month.
