Recipe Apple cake

 Recipe Apple cake (with many thanks to Bill for sharing his amazing recipe)


Bills Apple Cake

Ingredients:

Roughly 500 g (about 3 to 4) Granny Smith apples sliced.

For the Cake Mix:

75 g SR Flour

1 tsp Baking Powder

125 g castor sugar

1/3  cup milk

1/4  cup veg oil

2 Eggs

For the topping:

75 g softened butter ( don't melt)

100 g castor sugar

1 tsp Vanilla

1 Egg

Method:

Preheat oven to 170 deg C (fan forced)

Lightly spray a 200 mm spring form pan, before lining bottom and turn up sides a little with baking paper. (This prevents thin cake mix escaping from the join. Paper will peel off)

Place peeled and sliced apples in tin.

Mix cake ingredients to a smooth batter and pour over apples.

Cook approx 40 mins or until cake is brown and risen.

Beat topping ingredients and spread over cake.

Return to oven for a further 30 mins.

Allow to cool in dish.
